42" sanyo vizon flat screen from wal-mart?

hello, i have a 42" sanyo vizon flat screen from wal-mart, i bought the floor model with no remote or paper work with, in 2008. About 2 months ago the screen would go blank and then come back on,with volume still working fine. As time goes by, the picture comes back on less and less. turning the tv off helps it to come back on,but only for a second. I see other complaints with this sme tv, with various solutions to the problem, i don't want to try fixing several diffrent things costing me more than the tv is worth. Does anyone know what the actual problem is?
