Hindus and Buddhists, is suicide a temporary solution to a permanent problem?

No suicide is considered a sin in Hinduism,....a person who kills himself suffers a lot more than he is suffering in life in the form of a spirit....and later is born as an animal, and undergo sufferings until the sin is expiated, how many ever lives it may take..
