Is it possible to keep my profile on Xbox 360?

I got the system error E68 and one flashing red light and I was wondering if I could keep my profile. When I turn on my console without its hard drive it goes to the Xbox dashboard. With its hard drive its flashes one red light and says system error E68. I know my hard drive is corrupted, but I was hoping there's a way to keep my profile. Please help.
