Ipod question????!!!!!!?

Ok, I was stupid and my ipod touch 3rd generatioin 32 gigs fell in the pool for about 5 secs. I got it out and put it in a bag of rice like I was supposed to for a day. It is still not turning on so I tried to plug it in. It still fits in the jack but when it is in it just flashes the silver ipod screen and does nothing more. What can I do to get it working again?
